The audience will be treated to special guests Marvin Dykhuis and Mark Paffrath of Marvin and the Dogs, Hans Mayer, John Traylor, and Randy Fischer, plus Pat Badger, Curt Hanrahan, and Jack Plavonich on horns, Ann Heide and Michelle Venturella on strings, forming an eclectic ensemble of dynamic and accomplished performers. Lennon and McCartney’s songwriting, made famous by one of the most trailblazing bands of the 20th century, touches many moods and emotions. The evening will offer poignant ballads like “Here, There, and Everywhere,” fun and humorous ditties like “Yellow Submarine,” and rocking refrains like “Hey Jude.”

Conductor and Artistic Director, James Schatzman said, “Putting this program together was so much fun. The challenge was that it was almost impossible to pare down the list. The number of truly great songs is astonishing when you look at all of them at one time.”

This groundbreaking music changed the trajectory of rock and roll, adding classical and choral elements. The Beatles influenced how popular music was presented and recorded. Their music has stood the test of time and is still heard in coffee shops, concert halls, and stadiums.

Funding for this program has been allocated from the Vonnie Jones and Maglona Jones Fund and the Unrestricted Fund within the Racine Community Foundation.
