CAS’s first all opera presentation in 2014 was a triumph, and this time we’re adding a new dimension to the experience! You will be treated to melodious tunes and exhilarating choruses, with Italian flair. Favorites from La Traviata, Cavalleria rusticana, La Boheme, Tannhauser, and other legendary operas will be presented by gifted opera professionals and our 60+ voice chorus. A scrumptious taste of Italy will be part of the experience: an assortment of Italian treats and sweets catered by Roma Lodge. A cash bar will be available so you can enjoy a lovely glass of vino.
This evening of thunderous choruses, tender tunes and vocal fireworks will feature special guest artists Nancy Anne Davis – Soprano, Brianne Sura – Mezzo Soprano, John Stumpff – Tenor, and Nicholas Barootian – Bass. They are all gifted opera professionals who perform regularly with the Florentine Opera in Milwaukee and other major venues.
The Roma Lodge Banquet & Conference Center has been Racine’s premiere destination for memorable events since the 1950’s. Nestled on eight pristine acres, the Roma Lodge boasts five banquet rooms. Guests are welcomed by the elegant foyer showcasing a beautiful ceiling mural highlighted by distinctive lighting and trickling water fountain. The hall provides a breathtaking atmosphere with its grand architecture and scenic views from every window.
“That´s the problem with planning a late night supper after the opera, not only does the hero or the heroine die singing, but you end up famished after the last notes of the finale.”
― E.A. Bucchianeri, Brushstrokes of a Gadfly
